Subwoofer Sealed Test (B)

The free air and sealed box impedance test are now done and it's time to evaluate the results and start prototyping.

To evaluate the results, just open up the driver and select Driver / Estimate parameters again. I use a frequency range of 12Hz to 2500Hz for the evaluation.

Make sure you set the sealed volume (in the data tab of the driver properties) correctly. Use the internal volume of the box and add the volume the driver does not displace when you put it on the outside of the box (the volume between the front of the driver and the actual cone).

My box is 24" x 14" x 16.5" and there are perhaps 100 cuin at the front of the cone for a total of 5644 cuin. To enter this in the data tab click the units next to the Sealed Volume entry field until they cycle to cu in and then enter 5644.

After retesting everything I get the following results. I've cycled the compliance to liters in keeping with the published specs.

These results are good enough to proceed with (and somewhat close to the quoted specs, even).

Now it's time to prototype the enclosure
